Our Mission
At RCECC, we believe every child is a gift from God, and we aim to share His love in everything we do. Our Christ-centered approach weaves Biblical truths into learning and play, guiding children to discover God’s creation, purpose, and care for their lives. With loving teachers and staff, we create a safe, joyful place where hearts, minds, and spirits can grow.
Our Curriculum
At Riverlawn Christian Preschool, every day begins with God’s Word. We start with a Bible story to remind children of God’s love, and we pray together, encouraging them to pray for one another. Our goal is to weave Biblical truth into every part of the learning experience.
We use the ABeka Christian Preschool Curriculum, developed by Pensacola Christian College, which provides a strong foundation for early learning. This phonics-based program introduces each letter with a sound and clue word, making the alphabet fun, interactive, and easy for children to understand. The ABeka curriculum is designed to be advanced, preparing students for success in any school setting, whether public or private.
-
Preschool (2- and 3-day classes): Children build social skills such as making friends, practicing self-control, using manners, and understanding the difference between playtime and learning time. They also explore colors, shapes, basic counting, and early letter recognition.
-
Pre-Kindergarten (5-day classes): Students focus on letter sounds, short and long vowels, blends, and pre-reading skills, along with number recognition, counting, and simple math. In the second semester, children begin small reading groups, giving them the joy and confidence of reading their very first books.
In every class, we encourage children to progress at their own pace, celebrating both their growth in learning and their growth in faith.
ABC’s
Learning the ABCs is fun with songs, sounds, and playful activities that make letters come alive.
Manners & Character
Children learn patience, self-control, and Christ-like character through guided practice.
Numbers
Children explore numbers through fun counting games and hands-on activities, building a strong math foundation.
Reading
Through phonics and small reading groups, kids gain confidence as they begin reading their first books.
Friendship
We help children make friends, share, and work together in a loving, Christ-centered environment.
Faith
